Upgraded MotorCloud App Allows Virtual Trade Appraisals.

Broomfield, CO, USA – July 8, 2020 – A new trade-in app from DealersLink allows consumers and dealers to shift more of the car deal online. The latest release of the MotorCloud app allows customers to submit their trade-in vehicle through the cloud, allowing a major part of the car deal to be done virtually.

“As business opens back up and car sales come back, consumers continue to show a preference for contact-less purchasing. Making sure your dealership is set up to do complete virtual car deals is super important. Those that don’t are simply going to be left behind. The trade-in feature from MotorCloud helps you do that,” said Mike Goicoechea, MotorCloud founder.

The trade-in feature is part of a free app by MotorCloud, the new consumer-facing site from DealersLink. It walks the user through an appraisal of their vehicle, which is saved to the cloud, so they can then share their vehicle with anyone — a car dealer, their insurance agent, their bank, a friend, etc. via text, email, or Skype.

“Having the ability to take your customer’s trade info with an app, without the customer leaving their home, is important. It not only makes the trade negotiation easier, it gives the customer confidence that you’re a fully virtual dealer with the tools to facilitate an easy, secure, contact-less transaction,” said Taylor Hollingsworth, Senior Sales Executive for DealersLink.

The MotorCloud app guides the user through a 33 point vehicle walk around, prompting the user to add photos, condition notes, a photo of the odometer and VIN bar code. Once in the cloud, they can share it with whoever they like, and submit it to CloudCash, where thousands of dealers on the DealersLink Marketplace can bid on it.

Dealers can get a paid version, which allows them to embed the feature in their website, in order to take trades from customers. It also integrates with the FastBook appraisal app for dealers, so evaluating a customer trade is seamless.

DealersLink also added trade details into its customer brochures, so dealers can include trade appraisals in virtual car deals.
