Fusion Art Announces the Winners of the 6th Annual Black & White Art Exhibition

Santa Fe, NM, USA – February 7, 2022 – Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of the 6th Annual Black & White International Art Exhibition. The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art website and features awards in three categories: Traditional Art, Digital Art & Photography and 3-Dimensional Art.

For this exhibition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, were invited to submit their best art and photography using black & white & the nuanced shades in between. All artists, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their work in any media.

The 6th Annual Black & White Best in Show winners are Maxwell Miller for his charcoal, “Self Portrait”, Shelley Benjamin for her digital photograph, “Gold Dredge” and Péter Borkovics for his fused and ground glass, “Rotating Square 3”. Maxwell, Shelley and Péter are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of February 2022 and, as the Best in Show winners, all three artists are invited to participate in Fusion Art’s Annual Group Show in Santa Fe, NM in 2023.

Other award winners include Second Place winners, Kathy Paulus, Bob Nardi and Sheryl Holstein. Third Place awards were given to Cher Pruys, Gareth Jones and Natalie Oliphant. Fourth Place awards were given to Helena Maria Espinola Cocentino, Hunter Johnson and Jacki Cohen. Fifth Place awards were given to Christine O’Dell-Ferguson, Joanne Chase-Mattillo and Katelyn B. Knight.

Rounding out the awards for the exhibition are twelve Honorable Mention winners. Honorable Mention awards in the Traditional Art category were given to Jon Bøe Paulsen, Anna Lau, Lynn Kibbe, Timmy Lau, Cheryl Tenn and Xiong Yanni.

Honorable Mention awards in the Photography & Digital category were given to Rick Bogacz, Felix Rivero, Annettes Whimsies, Shawna Hinkel, Jyl Blackwell and Reid Woodbury Jr.

The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplified uniquely creative talents and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the Fusion Art website.

The international competition received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world, including the S, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Mexico, China, Hong Kong, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Thailand and the Netherlands. Overall, the gallery judged 467 entries and accepted 175 artworks into the exhibition, which will be featured on the website for the month of February.

Founded by Award winning artist, Chris and Valerie Hoffman, Fusion Art was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. The website promotes and connects new, emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while offering the opportunity to participate in art competitions, exhibitions and experiences.

Each month and quarter Fusion Art hosts uniquely themed solo and group art competitions and exhibitions. Both winners and finalists are provided with worldwide exposure, by having their work promoted through Fusion Art’s website, in hundreds of press release announcements, email marketing, online event calendars, art news websites and through the gallery’s social media outlets.
